Children's Class Rules
1. Turn up to every class
(even if you are ill or tired, you can learn by
watching)
2. Wherever you are "Be there"
Wherever you are and whatever you are
doing, focus and concentrate fully on what
you are doing and “Do it the best that you can”
3. Always bring your brain with you and make
sure that it's in the right place
Not in your fist, foot, elbow or knee
4. Always make sure your brain is switched
on
(No sleepy heads in class)
Question: What happens if you follow rules 1 to
4 ?
Answer: You learn more
5. You have 2 ears and 1 mouth, listen more
than you talk
Question: What happens when you obey rule
number 6 ?
Answer: You learn, understand and retain more
6. You can do it, if you put your mind to it
7. Exercise your brain as well as your body
The more you use your brain, the better it
works. Your brain is like a muscle, the more
you use a particular part of it, the bigger that
part gets.
8. Use your brain and retain
Question: What does retain mean ?
Answer: Remember
Question: What happens when you retain what
you have been taught ?
Answer: You learn more, you learn faster and
you get better
9. When the instructor blows his whistle or
claps his hands twice stand quietly in
Mountain Stance and wait for instructions.
(Feet together hands by your sides facing
forward towards the front of the class)
10. Always do more than you’re asked to do
Question: Why should you always do more than
you’re asked to do ?
Answer: Because it makes you a better person
and other people will respect you more
for it.
11. Don't be afraid or embarrassed to ask a
question
The only stupid question is the one you
didn't ask
12. Believe in T.E.A.M.
"Together everyone achieves more"
13. There is no substitute for practice
"Amateurs practice until they get it right,
professionals practice until they can't get it
wrong"
14. Don’t waste your time
Question: Why should you not waste your time ?
Answer: Because if you waste your time, you are wasting your life, the most important thing you have.
